This A2 size greeting card (4.25 by 5.5 inches) was created for the September Challenge at the Facebook group Distress Ink Techniques. When I was trying to come up with an idea for the challenge, I thought about what I like most about the fall season. Immediately I thought of how much I enjoy seeing the tree leaves change color. However, living in Florida you don’t get to see the colorful fall leaves!! The next thing I thought about was pumpkins. And I knew that would be what my card would showcase. I am well known in my family and friends circle as the pickiest of picky eaters. As a matter of fact there are only two foods that I like. One is strawberries, but I only eat them freshly grown in Florida. That means I only can eat strawberries in the month of February when they are harvested.
My second food love is pumpkin. I love the fall because that is when food suppliers market all the pumpkin products. I’ve tried all kinds of pumpkin flavored foods from pumpkin pancakes to pumpkin ravioli. I’m pretty sure if they came out with a pumpkin pickle I would have to try that too!! My favorite thing to eat is my mom’s pumpkin pie recipe. I don’t even like pie, but I LOVE her pumpkin pie!!
So there you have it, the reason why my fall card has pumpkins on it.
